The Journal of the Geological Society of India first published in 1959, has since then not missed a single issue or the time schedule of its publication. Today it is the leading earth sciences journal in India. The Journal publishes peer-reviewed articles under the category of Review Papers, Research Papers, Short Communications, Notes, Corporate News, Correspondence, Discussion and Book Review.
